According to the uses of a building, the risks posed by various parasitological invaders such as walking & flying insects vary.
Our company, licensed for pest control by the Ministry of Development and Food with license no. 865/2019, applies sanitary problem solving procedures, collects and records all findings and information in order to design a fumigation control program, which on the one hand will have the greatest possible effectiveness with the least negative impact on people and the environment, and on the other hand will take all the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of the infestation.
It is therefore very important that your own fumigation programme is tailored to your needs.
This is achieved by making use of the Integrated Pest Management system in accordance with HACCP.
A key feature is also the reliability of the people working for our company, so that you can feel safe during the application on your premises.
For areas outside Attica, we are at your disposal for any additional information.
Disinfestation – Cockroach Control
Cockroaches are cosmopolitan insects and can be found in homes, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, offices, warehouses, slaughterhouses, etc.
They are considered omnivorous organisms since they satisfy their nutritional needs with a wide range of organic substances. They are able to survive without food for up to a month, much less without water. They are nocturnal insects but when their populations are large enough, they also roam during the day.
They have hiding places in damp, dark and sheltered places, in cracks in walls, gaps in pipes, stored items, spaces under and behind electrical appliances, etc . They excrete substances behind them to mark their space.
The cockroach’s biological cycle includes 3 different stages: egg, nymph and adult.
Cockroaches very easily leave their droppings which are not easy to see, they look like stains on paper, walls, bathrooms etc. They are omnivorous and any kind of food can be contaminated by their droppings or by a characteristic mouldy or clammy odour they give off causing allergic reactions in sensitive people. Cockroach allergy is manifested by rhinorrhoea, sneezing and skin irritation. Food, water and cooking utensils are in many cases infested with cockroaches carrying pathogens and parasites inside and outside their bodies. Research has shown that these pathogens are responsible for food poisoning, dysentery, diarrhea, gastroenteritis.
To prevent and control them, we use special catch traps or pheromone traps, residual spraying with a low-pressure sprayer, application of insecticide in gel form depending on the site and infestation population, in order to avoid nebulization, but also to achieve the maximum effect. The gel insecticide method is mainly used to combat Blattella Germanica (fine cockroach). Our company also carries out applications with nebulizer or aerosol methods.
The formulations used belong to the category of synthetic pyrethrins, and are odourless, colourless, with a wide spectrum of action for immediate results, suitable for use in professional and public places. The application of fumigation is carried out outside & inside the buildings and is in accordance with the rules of good sustainable practices of integrated management systems (IPM – HACCP) and the Public Health Code.
Our company’s qualified crews carry out applications with approved and legally permitted preparations by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food in companies, hotels, restaurants, luxury residences, in food preparation & distribution areas, clothing & footwear chains, yachts, commercial buildings, apartment buildings , holiday homes etc.
Disinfestation – Ant Control
Ants live in organized societies, in wingless and winged forms. Adult insects are divided into queen, worker and male.
It is estimated that there are more than 10,000 species of ants, which depending on their species are found on the ground, in cavities of walls – trees or on roofs. They are usually brown or black in colour and vary in size. The average life span of ants is between 45 and 60 days. They travel long distances in search of food.
To deal with ants, which are usually found in places where food is present such as kitchens, warehouses etc. the methods used are combined with cleaning the area. Control can be carried out with traps, insect growth regulators and insecticides. If necessary the control methods can be combined.
Disinsection – Control of wood-eating insects
By wood-eating insects we mean insects that attack and damage wood, such as termites and wood rot. Locating them is difficult because many times people notice them in their home after they have caused damage.
Dealing with them requires skilled personnel who will focus on parts of the building that have moisture, wooden structures that are in direct contact with the ground, furniture or structures inside your premises, floors, etc.
To combat them requires a series of actions based on limiting their survival conditions and various ways of disinsection either with gaseous insecticides, heat treatment , or by pouring insecticide into wood tunnels where the insecticide is taken by the insects and because they have the property of trophilization they transfer it from person to person.
Exceptional infestations of various pests
For various emergency pest infestations that may occur on your premises such as flies, moths, worms, spiders, centipedes, scorpions etc. will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Once an inspection has been carried out on your premises an offer will be sent to you stating the value, method and formulations to be used and the protective measures to be taken by the staff of the business or occupants of the building.
Annual maintenance programme for Insecticides – mycide maintenance
The presence of various organisms of sanitary interest in commercial & residential premises has the following negative effects:
- Public Health, as they are a constant source of infection and transmission of germs and diseases.
- Economic, as they degrade the quality of the product and the hygiene of the premises.
- Social, since even harmless parasites of sanitary interest are a nuisance to humans.
According to the sanitary provision Y1γ/G.Π/oιk.47829/21.6.2017 all health care businesses are required to adhere to a deworming and myocide program by having a file with the following documents:
1. Insect and rodent control licence of the company
2. A program of keeping a fumigation and mycicide program with the presence of a private agreement.
3. Floor plan of the premises where the locations and types of rodent bait stations and insect traps are numbered.
4. A form noting the consumption rates of insecticide formulations and insect activity analysis.
5. The formulations used and their dosage, as well as safety data sheets (MSDS).
6. Certificate of disinfestation and mycide .
7. Risk study
The annual fumigation – myocide maintenance programme is addressed to the following categories of companies :
● Hotels
● Restaurants
● Food Processing & Packaging Companies
● Recreational businesses – Entertainment centres
