Economic example: Why the “low” price is not always the most advantageous!
Let’s say you found the “low” price of 0.920 for 1000 litres at a fuel supplier who does not guarantee the above and at ELINOIL the real price of 0.950.
If you receive for 920€ only 960 litres, thinking that you have received 1000 litres – because the difference is so small that you cannot check it – you will have actually paid for the oil at a unit price of 0.95833 (920€: 960 litres) instead of the 0.920 you ordered! And this difference will keep increasing as long as the quantity you “receive” is different from the quantity ordered. With this example, the price of Elin proves to be more advantageous since it corresponds to 1000 ltr and a kind delivery.
